Kent Phares is an independent loan advisor with Mac America Ag Finance, working with agricultural producers throughout the Midwest to secure financing solutions tailored to their operations. With a career rooted in agriculture and finance, Kent brings a practical, well-rounded perspective to every client relationship.

Raised on a crop and livestock farm in northeastern Indiana, Kent developed an early appreciation for agriculture and the financial realities farmers face. He earned degrees in Animal Science and an MBA, followed by seven years in various roles with a feed company. Kent then spent 28 years in banking, where he worked extensively with agricultural producers and small businesses, providing financing and a wide range of banking services.

This combination of hands-on agricultural experience, industry knowledge, and decades in finance allows Kent to structure loans that align with his clients’ goals and long-term success. His focus—shared by Mac America Ag Finance—is to help clients grow, adapt, and succeed in an ever-changing agricultural environment.

Kent and his wife live on a small hobby farm, where they enjoy raising livestock and maintaining a large garden. In their free time, they enjoy traveling with their adult children and staying connected to the agricultural lifestyle they value so deeply.
