Lance Walker was born and raised in North Branch, Michigan, a rural community in Michigan‘s thumb region. From an early age, Lance understood his love for the land would lead him to a career in agriculture. As a member of the FFA, State FFA Officer, and graduate from Michigan State University with a degree in Agriculture Communications and Political Science, Lance excels at speaking and customer service skills.

In his formative years, Lance helped on the family farm, raising pigs and a variety of row crops. Along the way, he teamed up with his high school English teacher and got hooked on maple syrup production. Now Lance, along with his wife and 11-year-old son, taps over 400 trees and produces hundreds of gallons of syrup each spring. Lance also is an organic farmer, raising rye, hay, alfalfa, corn, and soybeans. He is committed to helping farmers be successful, even with the multitude of challenges they face- many of which he himself has experienced.
